About me

Curious and always eager to learn.

I dream of having a big library and one day I would like to be a teacher.

Professional experience:

I started my journey as a backend developer – working with legacy Microsoft Access applications – in the investment banking industry. This experience also allowed me to learn VBA, PowerShell, T-SQL (SQL Server), and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), as a vehicle to integrate data ingestion from other multiple sources (Oracle, as an example). Other technologies used were Unix, Perl, Bash, PowerQuery.

My cloud journey started with AZ-900. From there, the interest grew and I did not stop.

I am today part of Data Integration support team, at Microsoft. The views and opinions on this blog are mine and not that of Microsoft.

My core experience is on Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.

Other data products I work with: Airflow, Synapse, Storage, Azure Databases, Databricks, Data Explorer (KQL), DevOps.

I help customers solving reactive problems (handling complex, technical and political escalations) and advising on proactive matters (architecture, product functionality). Parallelly working with PM and engineering teams, to close the feedback loop and advocating for customers near these teams. As global SME, I help triaging issues, categorizing and prioritizing them, so as to efficiently allocate resources.

Also are part:

  • Delivering readiness and training sessions to other engineers.
  • Mentoring new-hires and onboarding.
  • Contributing to knowledge bases documentation (internal and public).
  • Contributing to internal labs and sandboxes of most common error-prone scenarios to speed up troubleshooting.
